Anxiety: Current Trends in Theory and Research, Volume II discusses the hostile state of inner turmoil called “anxiety”. This volume is divided into three parts. Part IV discusses the theoretical approach concerning emotion, nature of anxiety, and distinctions between anxiety and other fear-related emotions. The experimental approaches to test anxiety and interventions in relation to anxiety in school are elaborated in Part V. Part VI is devoted to summarizing the conceptual and methodological issues in anxiety research. Other topics include the variety of viewpoints on the nature of anxiety, models of psychophysiological disorders, analysis of anxiety as helplessness, and reducing the interfering effects of test anxiety.
